Blaze is a sub-congregation of The Salvation Army in Falmouth in the UK. It is made up at this time mainly of young people, although we do not aim to be an exclusively "youth" congregation. We base ourselves on cell group ministry but we are not trying to become a separate "youth church".
The purpose of Blaze is to express the passions and principles of The Salvation Army for a New Generation. In particular we believe our purpose is:
- to introduce others to Jesus.
- to teach them how to follow him.
- to meet the needs of others in the name of Jesus.
We want to focus on the following 4 key beliefs:
Always Keeping Jesus Central
Becoming More Like Him
Creating True Community
Doing God's Will
Our vision is to establish significant schools and community work projects through which we can make a valid contribution to the community in which we live, and to establish a vibrant network of multiplying cell groups, full of passionate and infectious people who love Jesus and will make and impact of the community around them.
We aim to light a blazing fire which we hope would spread throughout the rest of Cornwall... and beyond!
